TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER LUNCHEON
Friday, June 15th, 2007TEA sponsored a technology transfer luncheon July 11, 2007 in Mobile, Alabama, which discussed the use of Engineered_Phytoremediation℠ technology. Unlike phytoremediation systems that rely on natural root development, an engineered approach, as used by TEA, directs the root system development to the contaminated zone. Controlling the root system:
- Accelerates the remedial attributes of the vegetative system;
- Allows substantially improved ability to quantify remedial results;
- Treats contaminated groundwater to depths of 30 feet or more;
- Limits plume migration by hydraulically controlling groundwater;
- Treats specific zones of contaminated soil and groundwater; and
- Treats DNAPL and similar contaminants by combining various enhanced bio/phytoremediation strategies to improve results.
