TEA Selected as Brownfields Consultant

Toxicological & Environmental Associates, Inc. (TEA) was recently selected by the City-Parish Planning Commission of Baton Rouge, Louisiana as a Brownfields consultant. TEA will be conducting Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and, as needed, Phase II Investigations on selected properties. This contract may also include risk based corrective action in accordance with Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality’s Risk Evaluation/Corrective Action Program (RECAP).

TEA Hires Dr. Linda Cummings

TEA is pleased to announce the hiring of Linda Cummings, D.V.M., Ph.D. as the Director of Toxicological Services. Dr. Cummings is a toxicologist and veterinarian with over 15 years of experience in the areas of human health and ecological risk assessment and litigation support. She has conducted multi-media, multi-constituent risk assessments involving the use of complex fate and transport models. Dr. Cummings has provided toxicological litigation support and expert witness services to clients in the chemical, petrochemical, and maritime shipping industries, as well as other industrial/business sectors. In addition, she has provided toxicological consultation and peer review services to industrial, municipal, and environmental consulting firm clients for facility Corrective Measure Studies, Superfund sites, and other risk-based projects. Dr. Cummings has been qualified as an expert in toxicology, risk assessment and project management in Louisiana district court.
