TEA Awarded LDEQ Contract

Wednesday, August 27th, 2008

Toxicological & Environmental Associates, Inc. (TEA) was one of two companies selected by the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality to serve as an environmental consultant for the “Targeted Brownfields Assessments II” project. This program is intended to facilitate and support the cleanup and redevelopment of Brownfields properties throughout the state of Louisiana, thereby protecting human health and the environment as well as promoting economic growth within the state. TEA will be conducting All Appropriate Inquiry (AAI) Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), as well as Phase II ESAs and RECAP assessments on properties selected by the LDEQ for this program. Following the site assessments, Corrective Action Plans will be prepared to remediate the contamination in the affected media which exceeds RECAP standards. TEA will also develop remedial alternatives based on site specific information, such as future uses and redevelopment plans, as requested. We look forward to working with the LDEQ on this important revitalization program
