Dr. Booth Attends Battelle Symposium
Thursday, May 28th, 2009Dr. Greg Booth recently attended the Battelle Tenth International Symposium of In Situ and On-Site Bioremediation. TEA co-authored a platform paper presentation regarding Hydraulic Fracturing and Phytoremediation. The paper was entitled “Enabling Phytoremediation of Chlorinated Solvents in Tight Soils by Use of Hydraulic Fracturing.”¬† The symposium was held May 5-8, 2009 at the Marriott Waterfront Hotel in Baltimore, Maryland. Recent developments in risk assessment, fundamental research, and innovative engineering applications for both traditional and emerging contaminants were presented. The Symposium offered a broad perspective on the performance and reliability of microbial-based processes for site restoration, waste treatment, pollution prevention, and environmental biotechnology worldwide.
