Wetland Investigations & Restoration

Toxicological and Environmental Associates, Inc. (TEA) scientists have nearly three decades of experience in multiple aspects of wetlands ecosystem sciences in different regions of the country. This experience spans the spectrum from simple wetlands delineations and determinations to complex long-term investigations involving diverse aspects of wetlands sciences. TEA scientists have the capabilities and capacity to provide thoughtful insight into the impacts of human activities on wetlands and the processes necessary for their protection and restoration. We can provide extensive experience and expertise in characterizing wetland habitats, including emergent and submerged wetlands (including seagrasses).

The specific services provided by TEA's wetland scientists include:

  • Wetland permitting and mitigation facilitation
  • Wetland mitigation bank establishment
  • Wetland delineation and determination
  • Remediation
  • Ecological restoration
  • Wetland ecological condition assessment: landscape/GIS-based assessments; on-site rapid assessments (WRAP; UMAM); on-site intensive assessments
  • Wetlands ecological valuation: Wetlands Value Assessment (WVA), Habitat Equivalency Analysis (HEA); Environmental Accounting (Emergy synthesis)
  • Natural Resource Damage Assessments (NRDA).
