SourceKill™ Is Trademarked

SourceKill™ Has Been Granted a Trademark by the USPTO

TEA, Inc. is pleased to announce that SourceKill™ has been trademarked by the United States Patent Office (USPTO # 88869959).

According to TEA’s Executive Director of Business Innovations, “With the growing success of EZVI as the premier in-situ chlorinated solvent destroyer, we wanted to create a name and logo to reflect the product’s capability.  SourceKill™ fully describes our source destroying product!”

SourceKill™ is a surfactant-stabilized, biodegradable, water-in-oil emulsion containing zero-valent iron particles and is based on NASA’s emulsified zero-valent iron (“EZVI”) product that was originally patented in 2001.  Tucker goes on: “We were the first NASA licensee to make EZVI and the first company to make the emulsion in commercial quantities.  Over the past fifteen years, we have improved the reactivity, stability, and before the injectability of EZVI”.

As TEA’s senior remediation engineer, Russ Copeland, P.E. echo’s Tucker’s words: “I have worked with EZVI for over fifteen years as a project manager and remediation consultant. Clients demand an effective source DNAPL solution that is cost competitive…..and they want results in months not years! SourceKill™ is a product that works as promised!”
